Subject: I bet this is recorded on a Nagra? Amazing even though Jerry didn't sing!

I was sitting very near a guy with a Nagra near the front, maybe the same guy who recorded U.C.L.A. 1978/12/30 (which I also recorded, but that is beside the point)!
I was approximately 5th row center for this show. It maybe was a bit of an exaggeration on Phil's part as he said just before the encore "If every place we played was like this we'd live here". But obviously they had fun, despite Jerry's continuing illness! Perhaps, because they apparently hadn't ever before played on Bill Graham's Birthday?
Almost any show at the Golden Hall was good, yet I missed the night before but I saw all the other shows there except for 1970. Despite Jerry's laryngitis he sure made up for it on his 'Wolf" guitar and Phil had the bass with the 10 buttons! It was kind of short because it was only Bob tunes but it was smokin'! Incidentally, Bill Graham apparently hated that name "Uncle Bobo" but it stuck for a while anyway! (By the way, please see my review of 1993/1/24 for an explanation about playing in January which was rare and after this almost never)!
